Teen arrested with loaded rifle at Eustis African-American Heritage Festival
EUSTIS, Fla. — A tip from an anonymous witness during the African-American Heritage Festival at Carver Park led officers to a teenager who police say was carrying a loaded AR-15-style rifle concealed on his person Saturday afternoon, according to Eustis Police Department Chief Craig Capri. Around 3:45 p.m., the witness approached two EPD officers and reported seeing the teen, later identified as 17-year-old Jarvis Smith, with what appeared to be a rifle concealed in his right pant leg, Capri said.
