Fatal Crash Shuts Down U.S. Highway 27 in Clermont

CLERMONT, Fla.—A fatal crash has shutdown several lanes of U.S. Highway 27 at Schofield Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. EUSTIS, Fla.—Eustis Police Department is investigating a stabbing that sent a 28-year-old man to the hospital early Wednesday morning. The man told police he was near the intersection of Palmetto Street and Bates Avenue around 5:40 a.m. when a man came out of a wooded area, they exchanged words and the man attacked him, according to Eustis Police Department.
