EUSTIS, Fla.— The man suspected of shooting three people in Eustis Friday night is in custody, Eustis Police Chief Craig Capri said.
Gary “Pookie” Davis, 46, was apprehended by EPD, just before 1 p.m. Saturday, following a press conference.
EPD responded to a report of a shooting in front of 604 Kensington Street around 10 p.m. Friday and found three people shot. Delmetrius Brown, 41, was shot multiple times and airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center; he underwent surgery and is expected to survive. Rashida Henderson, 47, was shot in the upper right leg and transported to AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares for treatment, Nyjah Lowe, 26, was struck by fragmentation and received minor injuries, Capri said.
Davis is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm in public.
