Shooting sends one to the hospital Wednesday, LCSO investigating

DeLAND, Fla.— The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the DeLand portion of Lake County Wednesday afternoon.

LCSO responded to 42215 Dogwood Avenue in reference to a shooting, Deputy Stephanie Earley told Inside Lake.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

Deputies have identified the suspect, and the investigation was still active at press time.
