MOUNT DORA, Florida—Former American Idol contestant David Oliver Willis was arrested late Friday after Mount Dora Police found seven squares of suspected LSD in a backpack with his personal belongings. According to the arrest affidavit, MDPD observed a Chevrolet SUV with a non-functioning headlight on Eudora Road near Brown Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and when asked about it, Willis reportedly said he had been smoking at a friend’s house prior to the stop.
