Armed person of interest sought in Leesburg shooting, LCSO says

LEESBURG, Fla. — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a person of interest in a shooting in Leesburg.

Deputies are investigating a shooting in the area of 1904 Griffin Road. The person of interest has been identified as Matthew Lee Pasco, 43, according to LCSO Public Information Officer Deputy Stephanie Earley.

Pasco is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a prominent scar on the right side of his face, Earley said.

“Pasco is homeless and frequents the Leesburg area. He is believed to still be armed with a handgun,” Earley said.

Anyone who sees Pasco is urged not to approach him and to contact law enforcement immediately.
