Pedestrian killed Wednesday identified as Eustis woman

EUSTIS, Fla. — The pedestrian killed Wednesday afternoon in Eustis has been identified.

Teresa Ann Ramsey, 61, of Eustis, was struck after entering the roadway in the 2100 block of East Orange Avenue on foot, around 1:20 p.m., according to Eustis Police Department. She was transported to AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, where she was pronounced deceased.

The crash shut down Orange Avenue, also known as State Road 44, for about three hours. Mount Dora Police Department is assisting with the investigation and it remains ongoing, EPD Chief Craig Capri said.
