GROVELAND, Fla. — A Groveland man is facing two counts of DUI manslaughter and is being held in the Lake County Jail after a crash that killed two people Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said around 7 p.m., Seenarine Hardeo, 50, was driving a 2009 Mini Cooper northbound on State Road 33 near Swamp Drive when he crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2019 semi-truck driven by a 67-year-old Miramar man.

The impact caused the semi-truck to veer into the northbound lane, where it struck a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado head-on that was traveling behind the Mini Cooper. Both the semi-truck and the Chevrolet ran off the road, and the semi-truck overturned, FHP said.
The crash killed the driver of the Chevrolet, a 22-year-old Frostproof man, and his passenger, an 18-year-old woman from Tallahassee. The semi-truck driver was seriously injured and taken to South Lake Hospital. Hardeo was arrested on two counts of DUI manslaughter and is being held without bond.
