Name of hit-and-run victim released, Tavares police still investigating

TAVARES, Fla.—Tavares Police Department has released the name of the man killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night.

Frank Carrasquillo, 49, was riding a bicycle when he was hit and killed shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday night in the 600 block of East Alfred Street, TPD Public Information Officer Courtney Sullivan told Inside Lake. The driver fled the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage to call TPD’s non-emergency number at 352-343-2101, option 4.
