Shooting Suspect Taken into Custody by LCSO Monday

EUSTIS, Florida—Only Inside Lake was on the scene in a normally quiet neighborhood that saw a lot of excitement as the Lake County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team moved in on a wanted shooting suspect Monday afternoon

Deputies were attempting to locate Eduardo Ramirez, a suspect in a case the criminal investigations bureau was working, LCSO Lt. John Herrell told Inside Lake as the SWAT Team and marked units staged at an undisclosed location. LCSO moved in on the home at the corner of Washington Avenue and Ohio Boulevard—just one half of a mile from Eustis High School as school let out for the day.

Sources told Inside Lake the suspect gave himself up when deputies arrived at the home, but Herrell had not confirmed that at press time. Herrell did tell Inside Lake the suspect was taken into custody and was wanted for shooting into a conveyance.

This is a developing story.
