Major traffic shift for this year’s Eustis Georgefest Parade

EUSTIS, Fla.—Motorists will experience a new traffic shift during the City of Eustis Georgfest Parade scheduled for Feb. 22. Beginning at 9 a.m. Feb. 22, State Road 19 (Bay Street) southbound will be shut down between County 44 and Herrick Avenue and travelers will be diverted onto either westbound or eastbound County Road 44, at the intersection that includes 7-Eleven, Burger King, Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy, Eustis Police Chief Craig Capri told Inside Lake. Eustis Police Chief Shuts Down Rumors about Carnival

EUSTIS, Fla.—Social media posts and rumors about a fight at the City of Eustis annual Georgefest event Saturday night were exaggerated, according to Eustis Police Department Chief Craig Capri. EPD officers broke up two minor fights Saturday night at the Georgefest carnival that involved several dozen teens, some who participated in the fights, and some who just watched. One juvenile arrest was made, Capri told Inside Lake Sunday morning. The teen was arrested for battery, a misdemeanor. Misdemeanor juvenile arrests are not public record, so the teen’s name was not released. It is still an active investigation and more arrests
