Mount Dora lifts precautionary boil water notice

MOUNT DORA, Fla. — The City of Mount Dora has lifted a precautionary boil water notice that began nearly a week ago. Shorty before 10:45 a.m. Saturday, the city lifted the notice that began late Sunday night after Mount Dora and Eustis experienced historic flooding that damaged homes and collapsed roads, including a portion of Donnelly Street. Downtown businesses are open and the city provided the map below to help residents and visitors navigate around the closures.

Mount Dora issues precautionary boil water notice

MOUNT DORA, Fla. — The City of Mount Dora issued a precautionary boil water notice late Sunday night. “Crews are working to locate the source of a water line break, which appears to be related to current flooding. Water pressure from both plants dropped temporarily, resulting in a Citywide Precautionary Boil Water Notice,” the city said in a social media post. Residents are advised to boil all water being used for consumption until further notice.
