TAVARES— Connor Dement of Leesburg High School and Hayden Wolf of Lake Minneola High School, both seniors, will be awarded a two-year scholarship valued at approximately $8,000 each from the Florida Prepaid College Savings Plans, according to Lake County Schools. The scholarships were offered to school districts across the state to present to students of their choosing in exchange for the districts helping to spread the word to parents about the Florida Prepaid College Savings Plans.
Dement is in the Cambridge AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) program at LHS, where he has shown outstanding academic performance, his nomination says. Wolf’s nomination stated he has exhibited “remarkable resilience and unwavering dedication” to his studies at Lake Minneola High.
