Fatal crash closes CR 473 Monday morning

LEESBURG, Fla. — County Road 473 is shut down as the Florida Highway Patrol investigates a fatal crash that occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Monday.

The crash at County Road 473 and Lake Eustis Drive involves a 2016 semi-truck and a 2005 Ford F-150. The driver of the F-150 was killed and had not been identified at press time, according to FHP.

A passenger in the F-150 was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the semi-truck, a 67-year-old man and a 63-year-old man, both from Arkansas, were not injured.
