Investigation underway after body found in Eustis field, no foul play suspected

EUSTIS, Fla.—Eustis Police Department is investigating after a woman’s body was found Monday afternoon near a busy commercial and residential area.

“It appears to be a natural death,” EPD Chief Craig Capri told Inside Lake.

A passerby reported finding the woman’s body in a field near behind Tires Plus, 2000 South Bay Street, around 1 p.m. Monday. Officers responded to the scene and found the woman, who they believe died from natural causes. The medical examiner will make the final determination. The woman’s name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
