Purple Alert issued for missing Mount Dora man

MOUNT DORA, Fla.—Mount Dora Police Department is searching for a man who has been missing since Sunday.

James “Jim” Mackey was reported missing shortly before 11:45 p.m. Sunday and was last seen leaving Chacall Loop in his grey 2014 Ford Taurus, license plate 83DIWH and was traveling in the direction of Natoma Boulevard in the Summerbrooke neighborhood, according to MDPD.

Mackey has multiple health conditions, including diabetes, glaucoma with blindness in his left eye and is in the early stages of dementia.

He is 5’9”, 198 pounds, with blue eyes and grey hair with a buzz cut. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and grey shorts. He does not have his phone with him.
