EUSTIS, Florida—Only Inside Lake has obtained body cam footage from the moments a suspected serial attacker was taken into custody last week.

Jephson Seguin, 20, was apprehended June 29 after his parents called police and he fled out the back door of their home on Marietta Lane in Eustis. He is accused of trying to run a police officer over and attacking two women in the spring and a third woman June 27 after he followed her on foot and in the black Cadillac Escalade EXT he was driving. When he tried to run the officer over, the officer opened fire, shot three rounds and struck Seguin in the shoulder. Seguin suffered a through-and-through wound to his left shoulder.

When officers apprehended him, they found he had not received medical treatment for the wound, and he was taken to a Level II Trauma Center in Sanford. He was booked into the Lake County Jail just after midnight Friday on several charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, fleeing and eluding, stalking, battery and leaving the scene of a crash and had a $26,500 bond; a charge of resisting arrest with violence was added the same day, increasing his bond to $37,000 and he was released Saturday morning after posting bond, according to LCJ online booking records. County Judge Emily Currington ordered Seguin to be fitted with a GPS monitor, not to possess any dangerous weapons, not to possess or consume alcohol and not to have any contact with the victim from the June attack. His next court date is scheduled for July 24.
