TAVARES, Florida—Tavares Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team are looking for a man who possibly jumped off Dead River Bridge Wednesday afternoon, according to TPD Lt. Sarah Coursey.
A witness called TPD Wednesday afternoon and reported they saw a man jump off the bridge; TPD responded to the area and requested the assistance of the LCSO Dive Team, “We are working with LCSO to thoroughly investigate the situation,” Coursey told Inside Lake.
First responders used sonar technology to scan the water and found an anomaly, Coursey said. A pair of shoes were also found floating in the water near where the man allegedly jumped.
